Welcome to the Go Gainsborough website. Here you will find details of the many community groups, clubs and activities in Gainsborough. Click on the "More" dropdown button for further pages including Village News. If your group, class or club would like to be on this website (no costs at all) - please get in touch - details on the contact page.
Please be aware that some groups may not meet up over the Christmas and New Year period and many of the children's clubs only operate during school term time.

Winter Warmer Welcomes.
No need to be stuck at home in the cold when there are warm and welcome places waiting for you. Free chat and hot drinks too! Connexions also have some warm clothing and blankets.
A Warm Welcome Space. Monday Art Haven - run by the Disability Social Network (DSN). "A mix of Creating, Connecting and Crafting Friendships aimed at bringing people together over the winter months." 10.30am - 12.30pm. Mondays. St George's Church, Heapham Rd. Runs until April 14th 2025. (Please note this group will not be open on Dec 23rd & Dec 30th.)
As well as their usual free coffee mornings on Tuesdays, Connexions in Church Street are extending their opening hours to the afternoon from 12.30-2pm with the same hours on Mondays. They are also open from 10.30am to 1.30pm on Sundays. Warm clothes available too.
Winter Warmers. There are four Winter Warmer Meets arranged by CLIP, part of ACIS. Weekly gatherings are held at The Bridge and the Uphill Community Centre in Gainsborough, Sturton by Stow Village Hall and Saxilby Village Hall. Free and open to all.
A warm welcome, chat, tea and biscuits on offer at the Gainsborough Men's Shed. Open on Tues and Thurs 11am - 2pm. Runs until end of March 2025. Find out more about the Shed too! Unit 17 Stirlin Place, Willoughton Drive, Gainsborough, DN21 1NF.
Open on Wednesday afternoons all year round, the Uphill Community Hub at The Cornerstone Christian Centre in Middlefield Lane offers free hot and cold drinks and friendly company. Open 1.30pm - 4.30pm. All welcome.
Join the Bearded Fishermen for a cuppa and chat at their Wellbeing Wednesday drop in. Start the day chilled and relaxed with a cuppa at the Bearded Fishermen Community Hub in Market Square on Wednesdays 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Fri 20th Dec. Christmas Story Time & Messy Play at Gainsborough Library. Christmas fun for babies, toddlers and pre schoolers. 10.15am - 11.00am.
Sun 22nd Dec. Enjoy the annual Evening Candle-Light Carol Service at the beautiful little church of St Mary's at Knaith. All welcome and stay for a mince pie and drink afterwards. 6.30pm start.
